Is “GG EZ” AI? Inside the Viral Hit and the Tech Behind It

If you have spent any time on TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts lately, chances are you have run into the addictive, high-tempo pop track known as “GG EZ”. Featuring a glossy, infectious rhythm and a chorus built entirely out of online gaming lingo, it quickly became a massive global dance challenge.

However, beneath its polished K-pop style production and viral choreography—which caught the attention of heavyweights like BTS’s Jungkook—lies a fascinating and controversial truth: Yes, “GG EZ” is an AI-generated song.

The Origins of “GG EZ”

Released by the enigmatic, Japan-based AI-native project known as M. Sasuke, “GG EZ” arrived with little traditional music-industry fanfare. Dropped via TuneCore Japan alongside a flood of other experimental tracks, the song features crisp English-language vocals, an earworm hook, and lyrics heavily inspired by gaming lobby culture (“GG,” “EZ,” “skill issue,” “rage quit”).
